I spent a month in Europe {France & Spain} on a study abroad trip when I was in college. I didn’t love a lot of the food I had in restaurants, but the bakeries were amazing. Several times for lunch we got sandwiches from the bakery which were just a freshly baked French baguette, buttered with fresh butter and piled with ham and some delicious cheese.
I decided to make these for my kids the other day because they aren’t fans of lettuce and all the good things adults like on sandwiches. They really don’t even care much for mayo. The LOVED these and asked for them again the next day.
I have to say I love them too. Just use some good ham and any kind of cheese you like. I used sharp cheddar, which is my favorite. A good Swiss or provolone would be nice too. Enjoy!
I didn't know you studied abroad in Europe! JEALOUS!!!!!
