You’ve probably seen those expensive iron wall hangings, right? Well, these are made from..... spray painted rubber mats!

I also want to do this for a game room/play room! You could get those frame kits for them or just glue them to plywood painted a fun color.

This is so pretty. Just cover some foam core with a beautiful fabric. You could probably find some fabric remnants for a great deal!

How cute is this for a girl’s room? You could do this for a boy too with different colors and shapes…although I’d be too afraid my boys would destroy it. But it’s such a fun idea with so many possibilities!

Brooke at All Things Thrifty is my hero! This is so pretty. They cut the top white pieces out of wood and there is black felt behind. If that seems beyond your skill level you could also just paint the design on. She used a projector to get the pattern onto the boards.

I just love when I find something totally unique and new. This would be so fun in a laundry room! You could even paint these hangars with any color you like.
Stunning! And made from paper circles stapled onto a board. I am in love with this!

If you live somewhere where salvaged building materials are a dime a dozen then this would be a great inexpensive way to bring some architectural interest to your home. Stand them on the floor or hang them on the walls.
Old windows are so fun. You can put anything you want in each pane. Here we have pretty fabric. You could do paper or family pictures or your grandmother’s doilies. Lots of possibilities!

Whoa! Those rubber mat ones are way cool! I always wish I could find old shutters to buy, but I never do. These are some great ideas!
ReplyDeleteTheres a store down in San Diego I always want to go to that has old architectural pieces like windows, doors, and shutters. It's near the airport. We should go next time we are down there.
